People just can’t stop talking about Brad Pitt’s marriages to and divorces from two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. To give fans a better picture of Pitt’s relationships with the two incredible women, here’s a comparison between the two on key areas.

How Long They Stayed Married

Pitt and Aniston shocked the world with the speed that their relationship was progressing. The pair, which was first seen publicly in 1999, wasted no time at all and decided to get hitched a year later.

But what stunned everyone was the price tag of their paparazzi wedding. The ceremony took place at a Malibu estate and was estimated to cost the newlyweds a cool $1 million. Their marriage lasted for five years. The two divorced in 2005.

Pitt fell in love with Jolie just as fast. After meeting her while filming “Mr. And Mrs. Smith,” he wasted no time and divorced Aniston a year later.

But Pitt decided to take things slower with Jolie when it came to popping the question. The two waited almost ten years before getting married in 2014. Unfortunately, their married life was even shorter at only two years. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

Problems In A Perfect Married Life

Outwardly, Pitt and Aniston appeared as a perfectly happy married couple for everyone to see. But beneath the perfect façade, issues were already simmering.

For instance, Brad Pitt would later tell Parade that he thought his marriage was contributing to what he felt to be an uninteresting life. Meanwhile, Aniston also admitted that she felt pressured in maintaining that image of perfect marital bliss that everyone expected from them.

“We were put on a pedestal, but we were just a couple like anybody else,” Aniston admitted to Vanity Fair. “When we were home, we’d watch the shows we loved, and one time there was this program called ‘It’s Good to Be Brad and Jen.’ It was all about us going to Scotland and Greece and having our matching S.U.V.s, and it wasn’t my life — I’d never even been to some of these places, but even I got sucked in.”

On the other hand, Pitt and Jolie admitted that they have issues in their not-so-perfect relationship. “Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn’t have made the film,” Jolie told The Telegraph.

“To be clear: we have fights and problems like any other couple. We have days when we drive each other absolutely mad and want space, but the problems in the movie aren’t our specific problems,” continued Jolie.

Post-divorce Relationship

Jennifer Aniston once said that Brad Pitt might be missing a sensitivity chip, but it can be said that they ended their marriage on amicable terms. At the moment, both exes are now back to being friends. In fact, Pitt attended his ex-wife’s birthday party early this year, which fueled speculations that they might be getting back together.

On the other hand, Pitt’s parting with Jolie is a bit more complicated. There was a battle for custody of their children before they reached an arrangement satisfactory for both parties. There’s also an ongoing battle about how they’ll split their £500M fortune. While they remain civil, it’s probably safe to assume that they’re not yet the best of friends at the moment.
