Princess Diana was reportedly driven mad by someone who’s not Camilla Parker Bowles. While she was still alive, the Princess of Wales grew jealous of Prince Charles’ relationship with Tiggy Legge-Bourke.

According to news.com.au, Princess Diana was threatened by Tiggy because of the relationship she had with Prince William and Prince Harry. Tiggy used to be the nanny of the royal siblings, but she resigned from the role in 1999.

Tiggy started working for the royal family in 1993 shortly after Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ divorce. Even though she worked as a nanny for the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, she actually had connections within the British clan.

Tiggy’s mom served as a lady-in-waiting for Princess Anne, and her brother, Harry, was a page of honor to Queen Elizabeth II. Tiggy attended a Swiss finishing school, which was the same school that the Princess of Wales and Camilla attended.

A former aide described Tiggy’s relationship with the young princes and said that she was partly their servant, partly their sister and partly their mother. The nanny became very close to Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s children that she eventually started calling them her babies.

During one incident, Prince William decided to not invite his parents at an event in Eton. The Prince and Princess of Wales were shocked to know that Tiggy was the one who attended the event.

But while Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry were fond of Tiggy, Princess Diana didn’t feel the same way. In fact, she hated how Tiggy would smoke near her sons, and she also asked for clarification on what Tiggy’s role really is.

In the book “Shadows Of A Princess,” royal biographer Patrick Jephson revealed that he was the one who drafted the letters on behalf of the late royal. “On her instructions, I drafted letters from the Princess to her husband pointedly asking for clarification of Tiggy’s duties and asking to be involved in decisions concerning her contact with the boys,” he said.

According to Jephson, Princess Diana didn’t receive a favorable answer from Prince Charles. To make things worse, it was hard for her to not have as much influence on her sons like she used to have.
