Televisa is getting ready to premiere its brand new production called "Las Amazonas." This telenovela is an update to "Niña, Amada Mía," which in turn was an adaptation of the Venezuelan drama "Amazonas."

The new version stars Victoria Ruffo, Danna García, Grettel Valdez and Mariluz Bermudez. They will be joined by a stellar cast that includes César Evora, Jacqueline Andere, Guillermo García Cantú, Liz Gallardo, René Casados, Alex Sirvent, Juan Pablo Gil, Andres Palacios and many more.

Fans of the actors in the U.S. will have to wait for Episode 1 to air on Univision in the coming months, but you can watch a preview for the premiere in México below. Do you think it will be a hit?

"Las Amazonas" is part of Televisa's new production line of making shorter telenovelas with higher quality. According to Produ, this new soap will consist of 72 episodes in total — about half of the episode count a typical telenovela has.

"We are making a shorter version with a cinematic technique and that has allowed us to come in more naturally and congruently with our content," Mejía said. "This production will air first in México and then it will go to the other platforms. We are living a new era of television where the narrative in the content is changing."

To refresh your memory, let's go back and remember Isabela Soriano, the leading woman of "Niña, Amada Mía." Isabela has always admired her father, Clemente, and has inherited his strong, impetuous and passionate character.

The loss of her mother when she was a small child left a big emptiness in her heart. She is a naughty and proud woman, but with very noble feelings.

Her sister Diana is romantic and trusting but at the same time aloof, and although she has finished architecture, she is fearful of going out and looking for work. Her love for Octavio will make her a strong and competitive woman.

Finally, Carolina is the most happy and extroverted member of the family. Life for her is a beautiful experience to be enjoyed to the fullest. Riding horses is her greatest pleasure. She studied abroad and there she fell in love with Rafael. When she returns she sees Pablo once again, and with him she finds true love.
