Tonight at 9:00 p.m. León and Pachuca will battle it put in the first leg of the Liga MX finals. It is the first time in the history of the finals that these two teams will face each other in search of the title. They are both property of the same business group, Grupo Pachuca.

La Fiera are having great playoffs and they have eliminated the two best teams of the regular season, Cruz Azul and Toluca. No they will try to eliminate Pachuca as well.

When it comes to Pachuca, they also want to win the title, it would be their sixth title. To make it to the finals, they beat Pumas UNAM in the quarterfinals and Santos Laguna in the semifinals.

León has played in five finals and has won two of them. They won in 1991-1993 and Apertura 2013 and lost in 1972-1973, 1974-1975 and Invierno 1997. Pachuca has played in seven finals, having won five of those. They won in Invierno 1999, Invierno 2001, Apertura 2003, Clausura 2006 and Clausura 2007. They lost in Verano 2000 and Clausura 2009.
