MIAMI - The start of 2024 has been exciting for Latin music fans, with a wave of new releases and remixes energizing the scene. Mexican artist Peso Pluma kicked off the year with two new songs, showcasing his evolving musical style. Anuel AA , not to be outdone, also dropped new tracks, staying true to his dynamic Latin Trap roots.

Meanwhile, Arcángel continued his tiradera against Anuel with the release of "Narcam," a track that's sure to stir the pot in the reggaeton community. Venezuelan duo Mau y Ricky collaborated with Edén Muñoz to breathe new life into their hit "Vas a destrozarme," offering fans a fresh take on the beloved song.

Grupo Firme made a strong comeback with "Otra noche," featuring Gabito Ballesteros, adding to the diverse mix of sounds this year. This release continues to showcase their unique blend of traditional Mexican music with contemporary influences.

The first week of 2024 also saw notable remixes. Farruko's "Hermoso Momento" was reimagined with Kairo Worship, adding a new layer to the hit. Anitta, joined by Melody, released a remix of "Mil Vezes." Additionally, Mesita, Thiago PZK, and Nicki Nicole collaborated on the "Una Foto" remix, featuring Emilia, taking the Argentinian Urban movement to a new level.

Nicky Jam paid tribute to his Dominican heritage with dembow track "Las gatas," collaborating with YOVNGCHIMI & Angel Dior to blend traditional Dominican sounds with modern beats. Ñengo Flow also made waves with the release of the first single from his new album, a collaboration with Wisin y Yandel titled "...Puesta Pa'l Perreo." This track promises to be a hit, offering fans a taste of what's to come from his anticipated album.

While some of these songs were available on YouTube a few days prior, today marks their official release date, much to the delight of Latin music enthusiasts worldwide. This batch of new music and remixes sets a high bar for the rest of the year, showcasing the vibrant and diverse talent within the Latin music industry.

Peso Pluma doble release

Peso Pluma, Junior H and Óscar Maydon welcomed 2024 with "Rompe La Dompe." The song, a corrido filled with guitars talks about late nights filled with women and celebration. The word "Dompe," repeated throughout the song, is a reference to champagne brand Dom Pérignon.

La Doble P dropped a second song on Friday. "Pixelados" is a new corrido tumbado from Peso Pluma and Luis R Conriquez.

Anuel AA is catching on

The Puerto Rican king of trap was forced to delay the release of the new songs of his upcoming album due to health reasons. But he seems to be getting his schedule back on track with a doble release: "Luces Tenues" and "Glock, Glock, Glock."

Grupo Firme returns with Gabito Ballesteros

After apologizing to his band and the fans, Eduin Caz went back to work with Grupo Firme. They released the first single of the year in "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." "Otra Noche" is a fun song with Gabito Ballesteros.

Mau y Ricky team up with Edén Muñoz

The Venezuelan duo is kicking off the new year with a new collab alongside Regional Mexican star Eden Muñoz for a new version of their rising single "Vas a Destrozarme." The original version of the track brought a new sound for Mau y Ricky, telling the story of a forbidden love that couldn't be stopped. Following the original track's radio success at an international level, the new version further cements their exploration into new sounds on their forthcoming project

María Becerra goes acoustic

The Argentine music scene is buzzing with excitement as La Nena de Argentina released an acoustic version of her massive hit "Corazón Vacío." This new rendition brings a fresh and intimate feel to the already beloved song, showcasing Becerra's versatility and emotional depth as an artist.

Adding to the excitement, María Becerra, is preparing for two historic sold-out shows at the River Plate Stadium in March.
