There is no official word on when “Stranger Things” season 4 will come out and a big reason for that are the governing conditions set by the pandemic. Production for the series started in February 2020 but everything came to a halt when the COVID-19 broke out.

The good news is that production for “Stranger Things” season 4 resumed in November 2020. It is perhaps the best news to gather although it hardly answers the question of when the next season will premier.

There was a recent tweet alleging that season 4 of “Stranger Things” would happen in August 2021. The handle (@NetflixUpdates) seemed official at first but was later on discovered as not. No less than showrunner Shawn Levy confirmed that the tweet was fake.

Hence, the question up in the air is when will “Stranger Things” season 4 come out. Unfortunately for fans, one of the main cast members commented that it is still far away. This was made by Noah Schnapp who portrays Will Byers.

“Stranger Things” season 4 remains under production and the only good thing that came out of the forced break is that the Duffer Brothers were able to go through the scripts and evaluated them for potential adjustments. After going through it, the Duffer Brothers confirmed that season 4 will not be the last for the Hawkins gang.

As for cast members, there will be eight new characters joining “Stranger Things,” actors coming from different series. Among the new faces will include Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Englund, and Tom Wlaschiha.

Hopes are high that the fourth season of “Stranger Things” will come out before 2021 comes to an end. But according to Gaten Matarazzo, the process has been a lot slower compared to previous seasons due to the coronavirus.

He bares that the slower pace will have an impact on the pandemic taking the production to an entirely new level. Regardless, Matarazzo revealed to People.com that they are trying their best and playing everything by ear.
