MIAMI -- As March unfolds, the entertainment world is abuzz with an array of awaited releases and award ceremonies, promising a month full of big audiovisual experiences for audiences in the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. This year's highlights include the Oscars, the Dominican Republic's Premios Soberanos, as well as the release of fantastic films, new telenovelas, groundbreaking documentaries, and enthralling original series.

The first award ceremony of the month is the Academy Awards, which will take place on March 10, with Bad Bunny and Rita Moreno on the list of presenters, and América Ferrera and Domingo Coleman leading the list of Latinos nominated for the Oscars. Then comes the 39th edition of the Premios Soberanos, set to premiere on March 12, at the Teatro Nacional in Santo Domingo.

This March also marks the return of Kate del Castillo to broadcast TV. She is the villain of this new season of FOX's "The Cleaning Lady." Ricky Martin is staging a comeback as well. The Puerto Rican super star is part of the outstanding cast of Apple TV+'s "Palm Royale."

Additionally, "Qué Onda con los 80? Archivos de México," premiering on March 8, revisits the tumultuous 1980s in Mexico, weaving a narrative through firsthand testimonies and archival footage, encapsulating the era's spirit of resilience and transformation.

Sports fans are not left behind, with "Ganar es Todo: Clásicos del Futbol" premiering on March 14. This documentary goes beyond the field, exploring the cultural and communal impact of football rivalries, offering an in-depth look into the soul of the sport and its significance in the lives of its fervent followers. Also in sports there is a first this March, Netflix will stream live a tennis match between Spain's greats Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.

Of course, there is also the premiere of films like "Dune 2," "Imaginary," "Kung Fu Panda 4," "Arthur the King," and "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire."

March 2024 is shaping up to be a month rich in storytelling, culture, and artistic expression.
