Just days ahead of his next rally, the Bernie Sanders campaign announced that the presidential candidate will be joined by Calle 13 frontman at his forthcoming event held in New York Thursday afternoon. Rene Perez confirmed Wednesday that he will be part of Sanders' rally in South Bronx. "Tomorrow I'll be in the Bronx with Bernie Sanders and with all of the Latin Americans in NY who are fighting for equality," he said to his nearly six million followers on Twitter.

Although the multi Latin Grammy and Grammy-winning artist has not joined Sanders in previous rallies, he has shown his full-on support on social media. Not only does he retweet important posts concerning Latinos, such as: "I agree with @Lin_Manuel. Puerto Rico needs our help and should be able to restructure its debt." But he also gives his two cents on the aspiring presidential candidate. “Bernie Sanders has more than 30 years advocating for working people and the lower class of the USA," he expressed on Twitter.

Joining the two at the Bronx rally is long-time Bernie supporter Rosario Dawson. The half Puerto Rican and half Cuban actress recently endorsed the Democratic candidate in a speech and addressed a letter to Dolores Huertas, accusing the activist of spreading lies about Bernie. Needless to say, she also shared the viral Bernie Sanders corrido song released by young Mexican-Americans Grupo La Meta.

The event, held at 4 p.m. on March 31st at Saint Mary's Park in New York, is free to the public but it's highly encouraged to RSVP. Admission is first come, first served.

For those planning to attend, Sanders' official website recommends the following: For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. On-street parking in the surrounding area is available but limited.
