Over two weeks have passed after Joan Sebastian lost his 16-year battle with bone cancer. His fans and colleagues now celebrate the life and legacy of the late Mexican singer; however, his son José Manuel Figueroa admits that he hasn't slept since his father's death.

"I haven't stopped, I haven't been able to rest," he said, reports TV y Novelas. "My biological clock has changed. I sleep when I'm not supposed to and wake up three minutes later," he added, stating that although he misses his father, it's difficult to mourn when he's occupied.

"I have to organize everything, that's what he asked me," he said about the responsibilites his father left him in charge of. "That's why I'll be organizing everything in another city. I need to disconnect, I'm in shock."

The 40-year-old singer also confessed to the news publication that he's yet to grieve El Rey del Jaripeo's death. "I haven't been able to cry," he said. "With everything that's happening, I haven't had the opportunity to vent." Although he has been spotted shedding some tears in public, Jose Manuel affirmed that he wants to leave everything in order and that he'll have time to cry.
