Even after the strict lockdown measures in Italy, one of the hardest-hit countries with the coronavirus pandemic, the nation registered more than 680 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Opposition protesters say 13 people have been killed while demonstrating. The government disputes this number, saying that the victim of a stabbing on Saturday was not an opposition member.
