EscApe From New York Script
A page from the script of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 5 premiere episode "EscApe From New York." ABC Family

The Season 5 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” is steadily approaching, but before the June 10 premiere of “EscApe From New York” fans have been treated to a sneak peek at one of the script pages and from what we can read, fans are in for a dramatic ride. The page, which may be the first scene of the premiere episode, begins after the Season 4 finale left off -- with the aftermath of Ezra’s gunshot wound delivered with love from “A.” The scene “fades in” and reveals Ezra outside on the street of the NYC apartment where he got shot, two paramedics are hastily working to revive him, he is on a stretcher and they begin to move him to the waiting ambulance.

Ezra is alone with the paramedics, but the Liars -- Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily -- are not far from the developing scene. However, there is no mention of Ali, who was last with the Liars on the apartment roof in the Season 4 finale “A is for Answers.” The Liars are blending in with the emerging crowd, but when a paramedic announces that Ezra’s vitals are dropping, Aria attempts to run to her ex-boyfriend and former teacher.

The script reveals that despite all of the Liars being upset, they hold Aria back from running to his aide. Hanna tells her distraught friend, “Aria, you can’t help him right now.” Spencer continues to remind Aria of the serious situation saying, “If they think you know anything about this, you’ll be spending the night answering question at the police station.” The rest of Spencer’s line is blacked out, which leads fans to believe that whatever she say’s next is a pretty big Season 5 spoiler.

Emily then speaks to Aria, agreeing with Spencer, and promising her devastated friend, “we’ll get you there.” However, her lines too have some parts missing. The first part of Emily’s blacked out line reads, “We’ll find out where … ” it’s safe to assume the rest of that line is in reference to Ali who has seemingly disappeared from the action again.

The action moves from the Liars to another character, who is talking to the NYPD investigating the shooting. Whoever the person talking to the cops is, the cast and crew of “Pretty Little Liars” clearly doesn't want fans to know ahead of time. But our guess is that it is none other than Noel Kahn. During the Season 4 finale, it was revealed the always-mysterious Kahn brother was helping Ali evade “A.” But when “A” showed up and threatened the Liars and Ali on the roof, he was nowhere to be found.

He did make reference to plane tickets they had, and in the midst of the shooting and “A’s” acrobatics, fans kind of forgot about him. But it seems like he may be back! The next line on the script reads: “I heard the gunshot and I ran up to the roof. When I got there he was laying on the ground.” Does this timing seems eerily suspicious to anyone else? When “A” was chasing the Liars through the apartment and to the roof he did not hear them screaming and yelling, but now that “A” is gone he is running to the rescue? The script seems to tease that fans have a new “A” suspect on their list, who let’s not forget has most certainly been there before. That’s right, we are looking at you Noel Kahn.
