There have been several intelligence reports, claiming that China had delayed in relaying the spread of coronavirus, made those who blew its cover disappear, and even refused to provide samples of the virus to scientists in the West.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has laid yet another blame on the Chinese government- that they have has been trying to steal coronavirus research data from the U.S. 

The Modi government ensured that there would be adequate support and funding during the crisis while maintaining that the focus will now be on letting local businesses thrive. In a refreshing move of sorts, it has been reported that the testing capacity for COVID-19 will be increased to 1 lakh per day.

Chinese authorities have arrested a constitutional lawyer for speaking against the government and criticizing its efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and suppression of free speech.

The leaked Chinese military COVID-19 data indicates that it may be possible that Beijing understated the number of affected and deceased individuals.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry and the central intelligence agency are yet to comment on the controversial allegations.

Xuezhong didn’t stop at that. He maintained that “the best way to fight for freedom of expression is for everyone to speak as if we already have freedom of speech.”

Researchers are not supportive of China’s stance as even the TCM remedies, for COVID-19, which are being tested are not getting rigorously designed trials and thus will not produce reliable results. 

American lawmaker Mark Green is set to introduce by the end of this week a bill that will help U.S. manufacturers move their manufacturing from China to the United States.

Trump administration critics, however, argue that it was solely China’s fault, as President Trump reportedly adopted a muddled approach at the onset of the outbreak, which pushed things into a downward spiral.

A new report released by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials has accused China of hidings facts related to the severity of coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan when it was in its earliest stages.

“China will do anything they can to have me lose this race,” said the U.S. President in an exclusive interview to Reuters.

Various intelligence agencies, including the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Center for Medical Intelligence, and the CIA, have been reportedly tasked to carry out the investigation. 

The assessments were supported by U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Despite there being no clear evidence as yet on this front, the assumptions have been met with strict resistance by Chinese officials and the lab staff.

Bill Gates defended China saying that the country did the best by intervening early when the outbreak was reported in Wuhan in December.

China is not allowing U.S. scientists to investigate the origins of the novel coronavirus in Wuhan, where the outbreak first emerged in early January.

2020 should be the year of Europe-China diplomacy, but the coronavirus pandemic has prompted Europe to change course.

 “It is probable, likely, that the virus is of animal origin,” said WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib, while enthusing how despite there being several unanswered questions about the birth of the virus, an intermediate animal host could be the answer.  

Wuhan doctor who first identified COVID-19 in China and treated the first set of patients has come forward in support of the local Chinese authorities.

Despite the severe backlash, celebrities vouched for how WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was a “superstar.”

The British parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee also accused China of presenting a distorted picture of the novel coronavirus outbreak—putting millions of British lives at risk.

Researchers in the United States believe that the initial data presented could be incomplete and distorted. That’s not all— instead of taking six to seven days for the number of infected people to multiply, as was previously informed, it took only 2.3 to 3.3 days to spread.

While the viral outbreak is beyond anyone’s control, many believe that the Chinese communist regime is to be blamed for the unprecedented damage COVID-19 has caused so far.

As per the World Health Organization, China’s wet markets can function again with increased hygiene practices and other safety precautions.

But, a now censored research paper proved otherwise—the origin of the virus is likely to have accidentally erupted from a biolab and not from the market, as there are reportedly no known colonies of this species of bat within a radius of 90 kms of Wuhan.

The companies leaped to action and passed an official statement on Monday: “We are taking aggressive steps to stop misinformation and harmful content from spreading on our platforms and connect people to accurate information about Coronavirus.”

In a strange turn of events, China—from where the virus originated, seems to have developed a phenomenal strategy that helps in the containment of the highly infectious COVID-19. As of April 7, the country clocked 81,740 cases and 3,331 deaths.

What’s shocking to note is that up until the first half of January, China chose to not expose the severity of the pandemic, which resulted in leniency in the checking across the United States.

The same report suggests that a steep, unprecedented rise was recorded by the end of February—over 43,000 people had tested positive for coronavirus sans the exhibition of any symptoms.

In a way, the countries witnessing a surge in male deaths could reason out the fact that men smoked more (In China, over 50% of its male population smokes, while women pale in comparison—less than 3 percent women smoked.) In Italy, though the number of women smokers (4.5 million) are high, 7 million smokers are male.
